This Is Only the Lobby
Many people have asked
Many people have asked me what MJ’s The Right Stuff actually is.
Some think it’s a newsletter.
Some think it’s a discussion group.
Some think it’s a place where I simply share my thoughts on current events, technology, philosophy, or the future.
But that isn’t what it is.
The Right Stuff is the lobby.
Imagine arriving at a grand building before the doors have opened. People are gathering. Conversations are taking place. Friendships are forming. Ideas are being shared. Trust is being built.
That is where we are now.
The infrastructure that many of us have spoken about over the years is still being assembled. The technologies are still being refined. The systems of support are still being prepared. The legal frameworks are still being developed. The communities are still finding one another.
The Right Stuff exists so that we can gather before the next chapter begins.
This is where we learn who shares our values.
This is where we discover who wishes to help build rather than simply complain.
This is where we move away from endless dependency and begin taking responsibility for our own future.
The Bridge is not a revolution.
It is not about overthrowing anyone.
It is not about fighting old systems.
The Bridge is a voluntary transition.
It is the decision to stop waiting for permission and start building the alternatives we desire to see.
On the other side of the Bridge stands Daily Planet Club.
A supportive community designed to help ordinary people organise around virtue rather than dependency.
A place where people can learn, contribute, create, publish, collaborate, support one another, and explore new ideas and technologies within a private framework built upon free will.
But before the doors can open, people must gather in the lobby.
That is why this stage matters.
Every subscriber matters.
Every conversation matters.
Every invitation matters.
